Kent Place School is seeking a full-time mathematics teacher to inspire middle school girls to develop their interests in math and pursue futures in STEM fields. We seek individuals who enjoy collaboration with colleagues, demonstrate the personal initiative to innovate in their teaching practice, commitment to DEIB work within classroom practice and curricular development, and who are interested in growing as a teacher and teacher-leader. Candidates should have a keen interest in using math to investigate and answer interdisciplinary questions in both the natural and social sciences. The candidate would join a math department committed to lesson study and the use of assessment to develop girls' love of learning, confidence, and mathematical proficiency. This position is for the 2024-25 school year and begins in August 2024.
Responsibilities include advising a group of students, teaching trimester elective courses, and participating in community events. Requirements: Minimum three years teaching experience, experience working with middle school students preferred. Master's degree in the academic field or in Teaching preferred.
